Welcome to the GTS Force Program, an exciting health and well-being initiative designed exclusively for GTS employees.
Our program offers a unique opportunity for relaxation, rejuvenation, and engagement in various healthy activities in the serene and beautiful surroundings of Sturgis, Michigan, right next to a stunning lake.

At GTS, we believe in the importance of holistic well-being. To help you relax and revitalize, we offer a diverse range of activities, including:
1. Sauna: Experience the therapeutic benefits of a traditional sauna, allowing you to unwind and destress.
2. Ice Plunge: Revitalize your senses with a refreshing ice plunge, a proven method for enhancing circulation and energy levels.
3. Swimming: Take a dip in the pristine lake waters, a perfect way to enjoy the outdoors and stay active.
4. Kayaking: Explore the beauty of the lake through kayaking, fostering a connection with nature.
5. Stretching and Weight Exercises: Join fitness sessions to improve flexibility and strength.
6. Sports Games: Engage in friendly competitions with your colleagues, promoting teamwork and camaraderie.

  • Departure: November 19th;
  • No alcohol;
  • Deadline for registration November 10;

SAFETY TIPS

SAUNA

  • Hydrate: Drink water before and after sauna;
  • Start with a short interval;
  • Listen to Your Body: Exit if uncomfortable;
  • Pre/Post Shower: Cleanse before and after;
  • Use Towel/Seat Cover: Protect yourself;
  • Stay in Limits: Don’t overstay;
  • Remove all jewelry;
  • Leave the tech behind;Relax!
  • Hydration: Stay well-hydrated before and after the ice bath;
  • Gradual Entry: Start with short sessions and gradually increase the time spent in an ice bath;
  • Submerge Yourself Up To Your Neck;
  • Don’t Stay In Too Long;
  • Focus On Proper Breathing;
  • Listen to Your Body: Pay attention to signs of discomfort, shivering, or numbness, and exit the ice bath if you experience any of these symptoms.

KAYAKING
  • Wear a life jacket;
  • Learn to paddle;
  • Check weather conditions;
  • Plan your route;
  • Stay hydrated: Bring enough water to stay hydrated;
  • Sun protection: Wear sunscreen, sunglasses, and a hat to protect yourself from the sun;
  • Know your limits: Don’t push yourself too hard, and stay within your skill level and comfort zone when kayaking.
